Sneaker Pals 2012 Recap Book
Images of the shoes, letters, and pictures from the project will be published in a coffee table book documenting Sneaker Pals 2012. The book will chronicle the experiences of 10 Sneaker Pals (5 from Atlanta, 5 from Uganda) and feature the letters written and shoes they design for each other. Each Sneaker Pal participant will be given a copy of the book. The book will be presold in order to raise funds for the project. Individuals who preorder a book will have their name listed in the book as a supporter of the project. Both paperback and hardcover editions are available.
Note: Design of the books will begin upon the completion of the project in July. They are scheduled to be completed and shipped by mid September.
Sneaker Pals 2012 Contest
We’re taking one lucky person with us to Uganda in July to be a part of the project. In order to apply, Send a one page explanation of why you want to be a part of Sneaker Pals 2012, a short bio (limit one page), as well as links to your Facebook and Twitter accounts (if applicable) in an email to studio@soleplus.org with the subject “Sneaker Pals Contest.” Emails must be received by 10pm EST on April 13th. 5 finalists will be announced on April 20th and the winner will be decided by Facebook vote from April 23rd – April 27th. You must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License and a valid U.S. Passport. Finalists will be subject to a background check. The trip will take place from July 7th-July 21st 2012.

FAQ’s
Will the kids actually be designing the shoes?
- Yes. They will develop their ideas on paper templates before creating their designs on actual Converse All Stars.
Will Sole Plus be accepting other items for donation?
- Yes. There are items such as clothes, toiletries, mosquito nets, flashlights, soccer balls, etc. to be donated to the orphans as well. If you have items you wish to donate or would like to organize a donation drive, send an email to studio@soleplus.org with “Sneaker Pals item donation” as the subject.
- Yes. We are currently in need of volunteers for the Atlanta portion of the project. For more information, send an email to studio@soleplus.org with “Sneaker Pals Volunteer” as the subject.
